  3.2.30 adding plugins internal server error
Posted by: draggaj - 2017 Sep 11, 05:13 AM - Forum: Report a problem - Replies (4)

Hi Dan, hit a snag with a SIP rebuild I am doing..
new build of Raspian, with current (3.2.30) of SIP tried Wheezy, Jessie and Stretch, same result on all....configured language as English and saved and it complained unable to restart and said to restart via command line - which I did.
then browsed more plug ins and selected relay_board and on clicking install I get "internal server error" in firefox. In IE I get "cant reach this page"
I tried a couple of different plug ins with same outcome...

appears to be a permanent, repeatable fault. Hoping you are able to resolve this please....shout out if you need more info.

Same result even if I don't select language first..
console port output is shown below....

[email=pi@raspberrypi:~$]pi@raspberrypi:~$[/email] cd SIP
[email=pi@raspberrypi:~/SIP$]pi@raspberrypi:~/SIP$[/email] sudo python sip.py

Hi Dan...
I grabbed another 3.2.28 SIP I have - updated it to 3.2.30....now it has same issue as described above. Sad
So the issue definitely appears related to the 3.2.30 version (based on my experiences)

Note to self - take an image of the current version before upgrading and breaking it...doh! Sad

  relay not switching off
Posted by: bogeuh - 2017 Aug 18, 01:39 PM - Forum: Installation and set up questions - Replies (2)

picture

i have an active low 2 channel relay from sunfounder connected to raspi3b

the relay switches on when i use run once or manual, but it never shuts off

when i restart sip, the relay turns off and can then be turned on again via sip

if i change the relay options in sip as in uncheck active low, i can turn the relay off without having to restart sip. but changing the relay type from low to high and back is just as annoying as having to restart sip

any idea what i'm missing?

relay is on gpio4 pin7

  Email Alert (reminder)
Posted by: WVUTampaAlum - 2017 Aug 18, 12:10 PM - Forum: Feature requests - Replies (1)

I would like to be able to get email reminders a configurable amount of hours before programs run.  I can never remember which program is on or if SIP  system is on or off.  My stuff isn't nearly as complicated as some people and a reminder would be an awesome feature instead of loggin in constantly to remember.

Reminder would get sent to some email address a configurable amount of hours before programs time and only sent if system is on/enabled.

Thanks!

  Programs Main page has wrong 'for' details
Posted by: WVUTampaAlum - 2017 Aug 18, 11:55 AM - Forum: Report a problem - Replies (4)

I am on the latest version and have noticed details of "for" section in program main/overview page are wrong.
All of mine show as though each program will run for more then an hour while none of my programs actually go an  hour.

Attached couple of screen shots.  One shows main program overview where details are wrong and other ones show my real programs.

Ahhh...... uploading pics didn't work with this small file size requirement.

Here is a shared album link.

Hi guys,

first of all thanks for the great SIP software.

I use board with 4 relays and ESP8266 WiFi module which connects to SIP which is running on my main server.
For this purpose I developed simple TCP server plugin.

You can see my full blog here: https://blog.danman.eu/wifi-enabled-spri...ontroller/

As a teaser, I put here one photo Smile

  Weather-Based Water Level
Posted by: ghowell24 - 2017 Jul 24, 05:38 PM - Forum: Plugin questions - Replies (1)

Has anyone tweaked this plugin? Have any insight or suggestions to improve accuracy? My issue is this, I have this plugin set basically to use 7 days worth of data (4 historical, present day, and 2 forecast days) and I received 2 inches of rain last night and this morning I watered at basically more than 60%.

Here is a snip from the code:

total_info = {
                        'temp_c': sum([val['temp_c'] for val in info.values()])/len(info),
                        'rain_mm': sum([val['rain_mm'] for val in info.values()]),
                        'wind_ms': sum([val['wind_ms'] for val in info.values()])/len(info),
                        'humidity': sum([val['humidity'] for val in info.values()])/len(info)
                    }

                    # We assume that the default 100% provides 4mm water per day (normal need)
                    # We calculate what we will need to provide using the mean data of X days around today

                    water_needed = 4 * len(info)                                # 4mm per day
                    water_needed *= 1 + (total_info['temp_c'] - 20) / 15        # 5 => 0%, 35 => 200%
                    water_needed *= 1 + (total_info['wind_ms'] / 100)           # 0 => 100%, 20 => 120%
                    water_needed *= 1 - (total_info['humidity'] - 50) / 200     # 0 => 125%, 100 => 75%

I am guessing the temperature is what is causing my weekly increase from 28mm (basically 1 inch)  to almost 60mm (to almost 2 1/3 inches).

What would be the best way to tune this back a little without completely disabling the impact that the temperature plays in determining the needed amount?

  Station is scheduled but it doesn't run
Posted by: elongo - 2017 Jul 19, 06:21 PM - Forum: Report a problem - Replies (8)

Hi SIP community.
I am having the following problem with the SIP library/interface:
- The SIP interface starts and it works ok for a while (very short while).
- After running some few programs (automatic or Run Once), this problem happens: a program is scheduled and appears scheduled in the home page (e.g.: Run Once 30 seconds) and stays there frozen: it doesn't start the station and it doesn't start the count down either.  See image attached.
- If the the "Stop all stations" is pressed, the station is cleaned. But not even scheduling again and again will activate the station!!
- The only way to get the programs running again is rebooting the RPi.
- And same story: few programs run (usually less than 10 times) and then the station is frozen.

Has anyone experienced the same or similar? or may have a clue what is the issue?

Many thanks.

elongo!!
