Hi Dan,
looks like the issue is solved. I uninstalled and re-installed PiVPN on the raspberry pi and used the lan ip adres on which I also reach SIP. Now I'm able to reach SIP trough the PiVPN - OpenVPN connection when I'm outside the reach of my home network.
