relay not switching off
#1
picture

i have an active low 2 channel relay from sunfounder connected to raspi3b

the relay switches on when i use run once or manual, but it never shuts off

when i restart sip, the relay turns off and can then be turned on again via sip

if i change the relay options in sip as in uncheck active low, i can turn the relay off without having to restart sip. but changing the relay type from low to high and back is just as annoying as having to restart sip

any idea what i'm missing?

relay is on gpio4 pin7

Are you using the relay_board plugin?
You can install it from the PLUGINS page > manage Plugins > Browse more plugins.
See the documentation:
https://github.com/KanyonKris/relay_board/wiki

SIP's native mode is for use with shift registers and pin 7 is the clock pin.

The "active Low relay" setting under options > station handling is for use with the DIY shift register interface:

thanks for the quick followup Dan

i had tried pin 8 /gpio 14 first

so i came back home this evening, turned everything on and used pin 11 gpio17

worked like a charm from the first time.

thanks for making this, i'm able to water my plants from anywhere in the world now
no more need to ask friends to keep an eye on them
